After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998, I began my business career as an auditor and business process risk consultant at Arthur Andersen, where I acquired my understanding of the importance of integrity in financial information and strong processes and controls in any business. I spent the subsequent years as the controller for a San Diego based investment fund, Relational Investors, then the Chief Financial Officer for a private equity fund manager, McMillin Capital, and VP of Finance for a real estate developer, McMillin Commercial. I formed T Dawn Resources in 2015 with the goal of providing valuable expertise in financial reporting and analysis that fit the needs of small companies.
Having started my career in accounting and as certified public accountant (licensed in Texas), I am well-versed on "the books", but have spent the last many years focusing on financial analysis, forecasting, cash management, investor and lender reporting and process improvement.
Working in finance and accounting through various economic cycles has taught me a great deal about the importance of integrity in a company's financial reporting and, more importantly, using that information to effectively communicate to the stakeholders so that they can maintain confidence and make informed strategic decisions.
